Gerard Engels (1945) is a Dutch sculptor. During a period of restoration work, the artist was often confronted with the ideal of human (aesthetic) beauty. Which is something that still often reappears in his artistic practice. Meanwhile Engels developed a unique style: figuration with great aspects of abstraction.
